Voomie x Rivyl
What do you do when your thoughts keep going and going and going and *okay stop* and you need a natural way to mellow out the busy brain? You get together with your wholesome partner and create a fun and funky supplement for everyday people to conquer the world (or at least the day) on their own terms. Sure, there were already products out in the big wide world of disorganized store shelves, products that claimed to regulate mood, boost productivity, and slow those racing thoughts down from Mach 5 but they weren’t the vibe.
I mean, MORE pills full of random ingredients packed in medicinal bottles? No thank you. So instead they harnessed their creativity, got their research on, and created Voomie, a brand helping you take on your day, your way!
Tarah & Barry wanted to create a lifestyle supplement that was playful and relatable, helping people deal with their busy brains in a way that was right for them. Voomie needed to be simple, easy, authentic, just like its creators.
Of course this was before Voomie was known as Voomie. Our naming team spent weeks in the lab, testing new combinations, seizing ideas and thoughts as they whizzed through the neurons. Hundreds of concepts were created. Dozens were pitched until we found one that felt as perfect as that first sip of a mixed berry smoothie in the morning. Or a double shot iced coffee with a dash of cinnamon syrup, and a Nutella donut on the side…
Wait, what were we talking about?
Right! Voomie is a brand designed around the name. In the beginning, T & B were leaning towards a minimalist white edged with a colorful gradient. Clean, sleek, elegant. But when the name was chosen, things were flipped upside up. Voomie is a funky name and needed color to bring that playful energy and clarity all the way through the brand.
The best way for a tangible, product-based brand to do that is through its packaging! The colors had to obviously indicate the flavor. Pink for mixed berry, purple and brown for chocolate, you get it. This colorful clarity was matched with a clear, simple hierarchy to guide the eyes around the container. The custom flavor icons along the bottom led the customers on a little journey round to the important product info on the back. The sun and moon icons on top helped show the purpose of the product. Every aspect of the packaging was crafted for a simple user experience.
Once we had the packaging locked and loaded, we moved onto the wider brand. Rivyl had crafted an identity and strategy around normalizing busy brains, speaking to bountiful, thriving, positive people who aren’t afraid to be their unique selves. The tagline, ‘Your Day, Your Way’ really says it all. Voomie was offering their audience more than a supplement, they were offering community, understanding, and relatability, ‘straight from someone who gets you’.
This relatable and empowering voice, along with the message behind it, was rolled out across all touchpoints. From the physical product and fun merch to the packaging and the custom website, the Voomie voice was heard loud and clear on all fronts.
But did someone say website? The collab of the century happened when rivyl’s webslingers and designer artistes came together to craft the Voomie site. The most important thing T-Dizzle & Bazza wanted was to ensure the user experience was smooth, simple, and accessible to all people. We designed the website to be as streamlined as possible, reducing the number of clicks it took for customers to get from homepage to purchase page. Reducing the friction, like…yeah we can’t say that.
Taken all together: the packaging, the color, the empowering voice, the relatable message, the personality of the brand, and founders who understand what it’s like, it’s no wonder they’re a hit with zoomie humans the world over! Fortunately, there’s a supplement for that. A vitamin for the zoomies, some might say!
